Teaching Assistant Level 3 (Grade 6)
The Governors of this popular Church of England Aided Primary School are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our dedicated team.
Number on Roll: 142 + 9 Pre-School Age Range: 3-11 years
Salary: £22,792 to 26,705 (pro rata) Temporary for 1 year, (1/9/2022-31/8/23) 32.5 hours per week
This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
Essential Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or above (equivalent)
GCSE Maths & English A-C or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications: Paediatric 1st Aid
Evidence of further professional development.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- has knowledge provision across the Primary Phase including recent experience of Early Years Foundation Stage
- Can cover classes for teacher PPA time
- Will work closely with class teachers to deliver high quality learning experiences and group intervention sessions
- Has good ICT Skills
- has the ability to observe and assess children's development
- has a creative approach and original ideas
- wants to develop their skills to a high standard
- is strongly supportive of the School’s Christian ethos
- will support and enhance the vision of the school
- would be willing to work additional hours to provide cover for before and/or after school club.

Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
