At Rufford we aim to provide high quality education for all the children who attend our school. It is recognised that many children at some time in their primary education will have special needs that need to be addressed by the school.
A child has Special Needs if he or she has a learning difficulty, behavioural difficulty, physical difficulty or medical problems that call for special educational provision to be made for them.
The emphasis of our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEN/D) policy is on the early identification of any difficulties a child may have and to respond to these needs by offering an appropriate learning environment in which a range of differentiated activities are provided.
